As the COVID situation is getting more complex with the increase positive cases in Quynh Luu district and Nghe An province, women and children are facing a higher risk of infection as well as violence and abuse. Therefore, Hagar Vietnam has collaborated with Women’s Union in Nghe An to supply essential goods for 280 households there.
280 food and welfare packages and 600 COVID protection equipment have been provided for those in need. The Emergency Response Team shared: “The social distancing has been prolonged for a month, which brought the increasing number of domestic violence cases in the area. Therefore, this prompt supports are so meaningful and valuable to the women and children at risk. On behalf of them, I would like to send my sincere thanks to Hagar.”
