Hagar USA’s Clinical Consultant, Dr Zoe Wyatt, has published a new research paper, ‘Can Faith and Spirituality Promote Healing and Post-Traumatic Growth in the Aftermath of Trauma? What We Can Learn from Cambodian Trauma Survivors and Those Who Support Them.’ This research explores post-traumatic growth and the role faith and spirituality may play in it. Post-traumatic growth is a phenomenon which frequently occurs after people experience trauma. It is something which can provide comfort and meaning to people, knowing their hardship was not in vain. The insights from our Hagar Cambodia clients inspire hope and remind us people can not only survive but thrive beyond trauma.
