Hagar Afghanistan successfully launched three tailoring cooperatives in Kabul Province. This achievement marks a pivotal moment for the Restoring Lives Through Livelihood (RLL) project. The project aims to reducing the risk of trafficking and abuse while by empowering women through sustainable economic opportunities and holistic support systems.
The new cooperatives are strategically located in different areas within Kabul Province. This ensure that a diverse group of women can benefit from this initiative. Over the next six months, 70 women will join the program!
Tailoring skills development
All 70 women will be trained in the art of tailoring and garment design. These hands-on training equips women with the practical skills necessary to start their own tailoring businesses or secure employment within the industry.
Market Connections
The cooperatives will connect women to the broader market. Beneficiaries will gain access to local and regional markets, allowing them to sell their products and expand their customer base. By establishing these connections, the project aims to increase the economic viability of the women’s businesses and foster long-term growth.
Business Development Training
In addition to technical skills, the cooperatives will provide vital business development training.
