Replication
In light of Hagar’s success in Cambodia, Hagar International was formed in 2006 to facilitate the replication of Hagar’s successful model in five target countries in Asia. Instead of seeking to fully replicate Hagar’s programs or invest heavily in Hagar’s infrastructure within the target expansion countries, Hagar will instead replication its model through tactical partnerships with members of the (I)NGO, government, and business sectors. Through adopting this multi-sectoral partnership approach, Hagar will develop creative synergies amongst different sectors, avoid duplication of efforts amongst agencies, and transfer Hagar’s core competencies to local organizations with the potential for long-term impact in South and Southeast Asia.
